WELCOME...
...to the looniest, laughingest bunch of clowns in all the universe! We're the Giggles & Grins Clown Alley and we're responsible for keeping the giggles rumbling across the Midwest in the good old
U.S. of A.
The Giggles & Grins Clown Alley is a not-for-profit clown organization and we welcome clowns, friends
of clowns, and anyone interested in clowning to our membership. We support civic and charity events in the Dayton, Ohio area and across the Midwest. We are the official clowns of Special Wish in Dayton!
We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for July when we have our annual picnic) and December (when we're all pretty busy).
We are non-sectarian and though we are not affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church at North Broad and Highview Streets in Fairborn, Ohio, those folks are kind enough to let us hold our meetings there in the church's meeting room.
Interested in attending one of our meetings or participating in one of our events? There's no charge and we never apply pressure to join. Call any of our officers (listed below) for more information on how you can get in on the fun!

MORE FUN THAN SHOULD BE ALLOWED BY LAW

(Above) We had quite a turnout for the August 2011 meeting that featured DIPSTICK (Art Williams) as guest speaker. Arte spent 22 years as a corporate clown in the Miami Valley.

(Above) Here's MORE proof that the Giggles & Grins gang have an excessive amount of fun at their monthly get-togethers! This photo was taken, with much difficulty, at the June 2011 gathering of the joeys. If you have missed some meetings recently, better plan now to attend! We'd hate to have you miss out on the fun!

LOTS OF FUN AT THE 2011 EDITION OF THE SPECIAL WISH HOLIDAY PARTY!
There was lots of fun to be had at the annual Special Wish Holiday Party held at the Wright State University Student Union building on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Thanks to all the Giggles & Grins joeys who took the time to share some holiday cheer with the kids!
Check out the photos here.
STEVE KISSELL A GUEST OF GIGGLES & GRINS
The amazing Steve Kissell returned to the Giggles & Grins Clown Alley on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 1 - 6 p.m with six separate training session subjects. The G&G gang hosted Steve and his clown character, SALTY, at the same place where the alley meets each month, the 1st Presbyterian Church on the corner of Broad and Highview Streets in Fairborn, Ohio.
You can read about Steve's visit in the November issue of THE GIGGLER posted here.

NEW CARLISLE PARADE ENJOYS WORST WEATHER EVER?!
Let's get this straight from the beginning: it was cold. Very cold. And not that kind of "cold" where you shiver a bit and have to bundle your collar up a little closer to your ears. No, it was cold cold, like when you want to shout something in pain but you can no longer feel your lips and your face doesn't work very well. You could use yours hands to pry your lips apart, but in order to do that you would have to take your hands out of your pockets and you're just not going to risk that.
The New Carlisle Heritage of Flight festival parade on Saturday, October 1, 2011, suffered some of the worst weather in the memory of the Giggles & Grins joeys who parade often. The temperature hovered around 45 degrees and the strong wind no doubt produced an even more out-of-the-ordinary early October day.
Not surprisingly, only four of the G&G gang made an appearance, CAREFUL, GOOD GRIEF, CLARE, and MICKEY. BOOF and SCOOTER were on hand but were part of the Dayton Speedway Lives! unit.
You can ready more about the parade in the upcoming October 2011 issue of THE GIGGLER. In the meantime, check out a few more photos here.

(Below) CLARE and GOOD GRIEF seem thrilled to be a part of the parade but the photo was taken long before the parade started. Their enthusiasm dimmed a bit as the day wore on.

MUM FESTIVAL GETS GREAT PARADE WEATHER!
The annual Mum Festival parade got underway right on schedule at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 and once again the grinning gigglers from the Giggles & Grins Clown Alley were well represented. The weather was parade perfect with the sprinkles mostly absent from the event until well after the final unit reached the end of the route.
You'll find more photos from the 2011 edition of the Mum Festival Parade here!

HOLIDAY AT HOME PARADE COMBINES THREE CLOWN ALLEYS!
The annual Holiday at Home Parade, held Monday, September 5, 2011 was held under ideal conditions and, of course, the Giggles & Grins Clown Alley was front and center. We were joined by the Antying But Serious Alley and the Just 4 Fun Alley. What a great time!
You'll find more photos of the Holiday at Home fun here on the Gallery page devoted to the event.

FAIRBORN 4TH OF JULY PARADE ENJOYS WONDERFUL WEATHER
The Fairborn July 4th Parade stepped off under ideal weather conditions after an early morning sprinkle threatened to keep marchers and spectators alike under umbrellas. Giggle & Grins attendance was down significantly from previous years as only CAREFUL, GOOD GRIEF, CLARE, BOOF, SCOOTER, and ALTO put in appearances. Still the combination of good weather and the celebration of the alley's 19th straight parade appearance in what was our very first outing as an organization made for a wonderful day.
Check out more photos here on the Gallery page devoted to the event!
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PARADE DRAWS FEW G&G JOEYS
The annual Troy, Ohio Strawberry Festival Parade started right on schedule at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 and while the crowds of spectators seemed larger than usual, the Giggles & Grins Clown Alley contingent was pretty slim. Just four of the alley joeys attended the event and they were PATCH, MARTY, and MICKEY. This represents the smallest turn-out since the 2009 Englewood Parade that saw three G&G clowns marching.

FIRST PARADE OF THE SEASON DONE!
The first parade of the 2011 season stepped off at 11:30 a.m. on April 16, 2011 in Bellbrook, Ohio as part of the annual Sugar Maple Festival in that city. It was, uh, cold. And rainy. Lots of rain. Windy, too. A lot wind. The temperature at the official start time was 46 degrees. And Bellbrook is apparently in a different time zone since the parade didn't actually get underway until about 11:40 a.m.
But it was fun. Really. And we blame the parade's boss clown, ALTO, for any misery along the way. You can read about it and check out more photos here. And the photo below shows the four intrepid Giggles & Grins clowns just after their meds had kicked in and they were ready to take on the monstrous (OK, it was just three blocks long) parade.

PHOTOS FROM 19TH BIRTHDAY POSTED!
The alley's 19th birthday was a blast! You can see the evidence here.

PARADES!
The 2010 Mum Festival Parade was terrific! Photos are posted here.
(Below) Here's the whole Giggles & Grins gang at the 2010 Kettering Holiday at Home Parade. The G&G squad was joined by a few clown friends from the Anything But Serious alley at the Kettering Medical Center. More photos from this event can be seen here in the Gallery!
